EI Sturdza Investment Funds announces that the company won the Europe Equity category at the Morningstar Fund Awards 2016 held in Frankfurt yesterday for the EI Sturdza Strategic Europe Value Fund (“the Fund”), managed by Willem Vinke. The Fund received the top award for risk-adjusted outperformance over five years, beating more than 1,000 of its German fund peers.
The Morningstar Fund Awards help investors identify the year’s most exceptional funds, fund managers and fund groups which have delivered the greatest outperformance, on a risk-adjusted basis, over a five-year period to the end of 2015. The Europe Equity category encompasses the following Morningstar fund peer groups and sectors: Europe Large-Cap Value, Europe Large-Cap Blend, Europe Large-Cap Growth, Europe Flex-Cap, Europe Equity Income. It includes all funds in those categories with a track record of at least 5 years that are available for sale in Germany.
The Fund won the same Morningstar Fund Award category in Switzerland on 9 March 2016.
Georges Gutmans, managing director, EI Sturdza Investment Funds, comments:
“We are honoured to receive our first Morningstar fund award recognising the strong long-term track record of our EI Sturdza Strategic Europe Value Fund which is expertly managed by Willem Vinke. It is an incredible achievement for us to receive this award from more than 1000 funds that were eligible in Germany.”
“EI Sturdza Investment Funds has a proven track record of providing institutional and private clients with attractive and valuable investment opportunities. The EI Sturdza Strategic Europe Value Fund already has a five star Morningstar rating, and a Bronze Morningstar OBSR Analyst Rating so this top regional award is a welcome addition.”
